Jody's Shawl
This is a basket weave design and is 106 inches long, almost 3 yards, and 21 inches wide. Very heavy. This is the type of shawl that wraps around you on a cold evening, and it just doesn't fall off. And it will keep you warm on a walk when a heavy winter coat is too much.
As you can see, there are lots of colors. Most of the color is in small amounts. The green is the base color. I have to admit that I am sitting here thinking - ooooo I would love to wear this~~~
But I made it for my friend for the cold upstate New York weather. It is late in the season, but still, there are cold weeks ahead and many more years ahead.
It was fun to make, but then, all knitting is fun to work.
Love you Jody.

OMG....can it be so? Is it really truly for ME???? Oh Lordy, I am speechless, twice in one day!!! It's just divine - I am not worthy. I especially love your color choices - that eggplant sitting beside the tangerine, the red talking to the green. . . I can see myself wrapped in this while walking Harley on the rail trail! And it IS cold here still, just as you remember! I don't care what they say about you - I love you!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean you don't care what they say about me? What do they say about me?
ReplyDeletepoor attempt at a joke, my dear! Have you lost your wicked sense of humor out there in Oregon?
ReplyDeleteThat was my sense of humor. What do I care what they say? It is only a point of view and often not a good one at that. I always have to remember that as individuals we are not always very good at being human.
